Terms and Conditions
Remote Gun Sales
In accordance with your Shotgun/Firearms certificate conditions and following the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and Gun Trade Association (GTA) guidance - Form 11 purchase notifications must be sent by the main financially involved parties regarding a shotgun/firearms transfer. This also includes entering details of the shotgun or firearm onto your original certificate - this must be completed by Eastern Sporting.
Purchasing a Shotgun/Firearm from us and posting it to you
When purchasing a shotgun or firearm from us remotely, you are required to:
- Send us your original shotgun/firearms certificate (as relevant) to: Eastern Sporting Ltd, Unit 3, The Bringey, Church Street, Great Baddow, Essex CM2 7JW. We recommend using Royal Mail Special or Recorded Delivery. Please Note: We can take no responsibility for certificates delayed or lost in the post.
- We are required to write the item(s) being purchased onto your certificate and will produce Form 11 purchase notifications for you for your local Police Force, these will be enclosed with the gun. We will also send a Form 11 purchase notification directly to your licensing authority when processing the sale.
- You have the choice - whether we enclose your certificate with the gun for delivery to your local RFD, or we can post it back to you directly at the registered address of your certificate. We return certificates via Royal Mail Special Delivery service.
- We will securely courier the gun to your chosen Registered Firearms Dealer for collection. Please note we are unable to dispatch purchased guns prior to endorsing them on your shotgun/firearms certificate and validating your RFD with their relevant licensing authority; (this can incur several days delay dependant on speed of the licensing authority’s reply). Usually, however, we can despatch guns the same day or the following WORKING day after receiving your certificate, meaning delivery to your RFD is usually the next day or 2 days from receipt of your certificate.
- In accordance with the instructions on your certificate, you are required to notify your licensing authority of the purchase. To do this, simply sign the Form 11 notification we enclose in with the gun and then photograph or scan the signed Form 11 notification and email it to the email address listed on the Form 11 notification OR post it to your licensing authority at the address listed on the Form 11 notification.
